Palm Springs Gas Prices Highest Since 2008

The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in the Inland Empire and Palm Springs area rose three-tenths of a cent today to $4.379 — the highest amount since July 24, 2008.

The average price in Riverside and San Bernardino counties is 2 cents more than one week ago, 53.8 cents higher than one month ago and 44.1 cents greater than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

Since a 27-day streak of rising prices ended last Tuesday, the average price has increased six of the last seven days, including three-tenths of a cent on Monday.
