2 teens arrested suspected of DUI
The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department arrest two teens suspected of driving under the influence causing crashes.
According to Sheriff Department news releases both arrests happened this weekend at two different accident scenes.
The first accident was reported in La Quinta, police say 19 year old Salvador Bernal, was trying to turn on Adams Street near Avenue 47 early Sunday morning. Deputies say that is when he hit a curb and struck a traffic signal pole. Bernal was not hurt but he was arrested for suspicion of being under the influence. Bernal was released from the County Jail in Indio after posting a 25-hundred dollar bond.
Then in Palm Desert Sunday afternoon emergency crews were called to the intersection of Highway 111 and Town Center Way after callers reported a multiple car collision at the intersection.
When they arrived deputies say 18 year old Alexandra Taton Ulsh, hit five cars at the intersection that were stopped for a red light. No one was injured in the crash but Ulsh was arrested for suspicion of DUI.
