Rescue crews busy after storm hits Banning area
A powerful quick moving storm created dangerous conditions in the Banning Pass Monday afternoon.
Around 3:00 hail and heavy rain was reported in Beaumont, Banning and Cabazon causing dangerous conditions for drivers along Interstate Ten.
A viewer sent us video of hail falling from the sky for several minutes. Just off the Interstate underneath the Ramsey Street overpass a car was stuck in rising flood waters.
The couple inside had to bail out water that rose to the window level of their car. Rescue crews used a tractor with a scoop to bring the couple to safety. Both are reported to be doing fine.
Emergency Crews warn that if you see rising water or any puddle that you are unaware of how deep it is to steer clear of it.
