Flash Flood Warning for Santa Rosa Mountains

The Nation Weather Service in San Diego issued a Flash Flood Warning for the area around Santa Rosa Mountain until 6:45 p.m. Sunday.

Areas impacted include the Santa Rosa Indian Reservation, Nightingale, Palm Canyon Creek, Deep Creek, and State Road 74.

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flash flooding of small creeks, streams, and rural roads.

If you are driving do not attempt to cross a flooded road or moving water, only a few inches of water is needed to sweep your car off the road. Turn around, don’t drown. We will continue to monitor this storm, as of now it is nearly stationary.
