Desert Hot Springs abandons Wellness Music Fest

According to City Councilman Russell Betts, at Tuesday night’s meeting, the Desert Hot Springs City Council voted to disband the Ad Hoc Committee that was looking to find a new promoter for the Wellness and World Music Festival to the city. The committee stated that they were unable to find a producer to take over the event.

The ad hoc committee had sought to replace Tony Clarke and his company, Tresed Ventures, which the city paid to put on the Wellness and World Music Festival before firing Clarke without putting on an event.

Clarke walked away with 250-thousand dollars after the city gave him a contract with an ironclad out, which stated he got paid whether the festival occurred or not.
