House fire in Indio displaces three

A noninjury fire in a single-family house in Indio displaced three people this morning.

Thirty-one firefighters responded to the blaze, which was reported at 4:07 a.m. in the 82200 block of Bliss Avenue, said Mark Annas of the Riverside County Fire Department. They had the flames knocked down by about 4:30 a.m., he said.

The fire was confined to two rooms inside the 1,900-square-foot house, he said. The cause was under investigation.
