Ellen DeGeneres to host the 86th Academy Awards

Ellen DeGeneres will host the Academy Awards inMarch, the second time she will have done so, the show’s producers announcedtoday.

“We are thrilled to have Ellen DeGeneres host the Oscars,” producersCraig Zadan and Neil Meron said in a statement.

DeGeneres hosted the 79th Academy Awards in 2007 and was nominated foran Emmy for her efforts.

The next Academy Awards presentation will be at the Dolby Theatre atHollywood and Highland on Sunday, March 2, and aired live on ABC.
