Fundraiser held in La Quinta in honor of fallen firefighter
A fundraiser will be held on Saturday for a Coachella Valley firefighter who died in the line of duty.
Christopher Douglas was killed back in July while responding to a crash on the 10 freeway. He was hit by a truck while suiting up on the side of the freeway.
A flapjack fundraiser will be held Saturday morning in his honor at the Applebee’s on Seeley Dr. in La Quinta.
It will run from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m.
Tickets are $10 a plate. $9 will go directly to the Douglas family.
Everyone is welcome to attend.
