LA deputy arrested for alleged sex with teen girl
Authorities say a Los Angeles County Sheriff’s deputy has been arrested for allegedly having sex with a teenage girl.
A Sheriff’s statement says 43-year-old John Augustus Rose is suspected of having sex with the girl while he was off duty between February and June.
The 22-year veteran faces a felony charge of lewd acts on a child.
An investigation was launched Saturday after San Bernardino County Sheriff’s officials alerted their Los Angeles counterparts.
Rose was relieved of duty Thursday without pay. He is being held on $325,000 bail.
