Apartment building catches fire in La Quinta
A second-alarm fire broke out Saturday at a La Quintaapartment building but no injuries were reported, a Riverside County firespokesman said.
Firefighters received a call at 10:51 a.m. and went to the 78000 blockof Cobalt Drive, where heavy smoke was seen coming from a lower-floorapartment.
The blaze was contained to an apartment and doused within an hour,county fire spokesman Mark Annas said.
A cause behind the fire was under investigation.
