Inland Empire gasoline price rises again
The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in the Inland Empire rose Wednesday for the 17th time in 19 days, increasing three-tenths of a cent to $4.011.
The average price in Riverside and San Bernardino counties has risen 19 cents over the past 19 days, including nine-tenths of a cent on Monday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.
The average price is 11.8 cents more than a week ago and 13.5 cents higher than a month ago, but 11.4 cents lower than one year ago.
The rising pump prices follow a spike in wholesale gasoline prices caused by outages affecting production at three Northern California refineries and one in Southern California, according to Jeffrey Spring of the Automobile Club of Southern California.
