Construction worker injured at Indio High School

A construction worker remains in the hospital after suffering major injuries in an accident at Indio High School.

The worker fell 15 feet from an air conditioning duct at a building under construction. We are told he fell from the third story to the second story of the structure.

Firefighters used a crane to lift the man down to a waiting ambulance.

He was then flown from John F. Kennedy Hospital in Indio to another hospital for treatment.

The accident happened Monday around 9:30 am.
