SunLine Transit Agency’s annual “Fill the Bus” holiday food drive today
SunLine Transit Agency will hold its annual “Fill the Bus” holiday food drive today at grocery stores in Palm Springs and La Quinta.
The drive is scheduled from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and will benefit Martha’s Village & Kitchen in Indio and Food Now in Desert Hot Springs.
People can drop off non-perishable food, frozen meats, trimmings for holiday meals, new packaged toiletries, personal hygiene products, diapers and other household items at 40-foot SunLine buses parked at Stater Bros. in La Quinta at 78630 Highway 111 and Ralphs in Palm Springs at 1733 E. Palm Canyon Drive.
Donated items can be any size, and checks and money orders will also be accepted, SunLine spokesman Stephen Crane said. Donations will be delivered Friday morning.
