Apartment fire displaces 6 in La Quinta

Six people are without a home after a fire started in an apartment building in La Quinta over the weekend. According to officials, the fire ignited at 5:25 p.m. on Saturday at 5060 Eisenhower Drive.

Thankfully nobody was hurt in the blaze but six residents have been displaced while repairs are made to the building. Smoke caused the building’s sprinkler system to go off, extinguishing the flames before firefighters arrived to the scene.

Three units in the apartment were damaged from the water. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
