Thermal Brush Fire Contained
Cal Fire has contained a brush fire in Thermal tonight.
The blaze broke out just after 5:30 pm at Avenue 70 and Fillmore in Thermal. The first arriving engine company reported a wind driven fire with approximately 40-50 acres involved and burning at a moderate rate.
Cal Fire says the winds are about 10-15 mph from the Northeast.
The fire was contained around 7:40 tonight.
CalFire says crews will remain on scene to mop up.
No injuries were reported as a result of the fire.
