C.H.P. looking to recruit new officers at upcoming seminar

The California Highway Patrol is hosting a recruiting seminar in May.

C.H.P. will be accepting applications this year and is looking for highly motivated people who are ready to serve the public and the state of California with pride, Officer Mike Radford said in a release.

According to officials, attending the seminar is highly recommended for anyone who plans on submitting an application to join the patrol.

You must be between the ages of 20 and 35, have a high school diploma, be a U.S. citizen, and you must be able to pass an extensive physical and background check.

Radford said the seminar will include information about the hiring process, the academy in Sacramento, and the many opportunities available after graduating from the academy.

According to officials, becoming a C.H.P. officer provides great pay and benefits, and the opportunity for advancement is outstanding. They said the ability to serve your community and the public is rewarding as well.

The seminar is on Wednesday, May 28 at 6 p.m. at the College of the Desert Public Safety Academy in Palm Desert. You must R.S.V.P. because seating is limited.
