Motorcyclist killed by hit and run driver in Palm Springs
Palm Springs Police confirm that a motorcyclist has died after being struck by a hit and run driver on Indian Canyon Drive in Palm Springs late Friday morning.

According to Palm Springs Police, the preliminary investigation states that at 11:30 a.m. a truck was traveling Southbound on North Indian Canyon and the motrocycle was Northbound on Indian Canyon Drive when the two collided.
The driver of the truck fled the scene said officers, but he was later found and arrested.
The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. The Coroner has been called out to aid in the investigation. Both the victim and suspects names are not being released at this time.
A witness told News Channel 3 and CBS Local 2 that the motorcyclist was driving northbound on Indian Canyon and the truck was driving southbound. The truck swerved into the northbound lanes and hit the motorcycle head-on.
The witness said the motorcyclist was ejected and the driver of the truck drove away from the scene, dragging the motorcycle around the block.
The witness followed the suspect to a parking lot located in the 1400 block of North Indian Canyon Drive. The witness told us the driver pulled over and was arrested by police officers.
