Hiker found dead on Idyllwild trail
CAL FIRE/Riverside County Firefighters says a hiker died after falling in the area of Tahquitz Peak in Idyllwild Saturday morning.
Rescue crews were called out at 11:07 am. CAL FIRE reports the unidentified hiker died at the scene.
No word on the cause of the hiker’s death, or if they were hiking in a group or alone.
Tahquitz Peak is a popular but strenuous hike along the Desert Divide in the San Jacinto Mountains.
