5-year-old child hit by car in Thermal
A 5-year-old child was hit by an SUV at a Thermal home, but escaped with minor injuries, authorities said.
Dispatchers received a 911 call at 4:35 p.m. Saturday and sent California Highway Patrol officers to the Desert Empire Palms Mobile Home Park, 68990 Harrison St.
A GMC Yukon was involved in the incident, according to the CHP.
The child’s gender was not disclosed. He or she was sent to a hospital as a precaution, Riverside County Fire Department spokeswoman Melody Hendrickson said.
