Watch the World Series on 65-foot widescreen
Coachella Valley baseball fans can watch the San Francisco Giants take on the Kansas City Royals in the first two games of the World Series for free on the curved, 65-foot widescreen at Desert Cinemas Tuesday and Wednesday.
“There is no other place than at Desert Cinemas to catch the biggest
game on the largest curved screen in the valley,” city events manager Chris
Parman said. “Throw in the theater’s incredible digital surround sound and you got the ingredients for a fantastic family-fun event.”
The theater at 68510 E. Palm Canyon Drive will show the first two games
between the San Francisco Giants and Kansas City Royals, courtesy of Cathedral City and the theater’s operator UltraStar Cinemas.
The doors open at 4 p.m., and seating is first-come, first-served. Tuesday’s game in Kansas City airs at 5:07 p.m.
The theater has 250 seats, and the games will be shown on a 65-foot wide
UltraMaximum screen.
“Join us for a viewing experience like no other,” stated Damon Rubio, Executive Vice President of Operations at UltraStar Cinemas. “If you cannot be at the game in Kansas City or San Francisco, then come and enjoy the UltraMAXimum experience which will make you feel like you’re sitting behind home plate.”
