Riverside County welcomes new district attorney Mike Hestrin
A public swearing-in ceremony took place Monday afternoon in Riverside as the county welcomed its newest district attorney, Mike Hestrin, who was elected in June.
Members of his immediate and extended family, along with most personnel from the DA’s office in Riverside were in attendance.
Grover Trask, who served as DA from 1982 to 2006, delivered the keynote address.
Hestrin defeated outgoing district attorney Paul Zellerbach in June.
The state attorney general is also currently investigating accusations alleging Zellerbach tampered with Hestrin’s campaign signs during that campaign.
