California dentist arrested and accused of setting another dental office on fire
A Ventura County dentist is in jail on suspicion of setting the offices of potential competitors on fire.
Leopold Weinstein was arrested on three counts of arson, three counts of attempted arson and possession of a silencer.
The Ventura County Sheriff’s Department says Weinstein already had attracted the attention of authorities when on Wednesday surveillance video captured him setting fire to a dental office in Camarillo.
The building, which was not badly damaged, housed a dental office where flammable liquids were found on the roof in June.
Weinstein, 63, was arrested Friday and bail was set at $250,000. He is scheduled to appear in court Tuesday.
