Pedestrian struck and killed by a car in Indio
An 80-year old man is dead after being hit by a car Thursday night in Indio.
It happened just before 6:00 p.m. in the 81200 block of Indio Boulevard near Clinton Street. Indio Police say the man was trying to cross the street outside of the crosswalk when he was hit by a passing driver.
Emergency crews took the man to Desert Regional Medical Center in Palm Springs where he was pronounced dead. The man’s identity hasn’t been released yet.
Police say the driver is a 29-year old woman who’s cooperating with police.
