Coroner I.D.’s pedestrian struck and killed by a car in Desert Hot Springs

The Riverside County Coroner’s Office has Identified the man struck and killed by a driver Friday night on Hacienda Avenue in Desert Hot Springs.

The Coroner says 44-year old Edward Manning died at Desert Regional Medical Center Friday night, after he was hit and struck by a vehicle around 6:15 p.m.

The Desert Hot Springs Police Department says upon arrival, officers discovered Manning lying in the roadway and he was immediately transported to Desert Regional.

Police says the driver of the vehicle stopped at the scene and they continue to investigate the exact cause of the accident. They are also asking for anyone who witnessed the accident to call the Desert Hot Springs Police Department and ask to speak with Detective Corinn Lindsey at (760) 329-6411 ext 378.
