Free “Art Party” at Palm Springs Art Museum

Children and adults are invited to a free Art Party Sunday, featuring art-making activities for participants of all ages.

The five-hour event, which begins at 11 a.m. at the Palm Springs Art Museum, will feature interactive demonstrations of various art types, including clay sculpture, ceramics and watercolor painting.

“This full art making day exposes children and adults to different art forms, giving them an opportunity to learn more about the different media of art, as well as enlightening them to particular areas of interest they may individually have,” said Irene N. Rodriguez, interim director of education at the museum.

“With it being Mothers Day as well, it’s a great option for creating a fun and memorable day at the museum.”

The event is part of the museum’s “Free 2nd Sundays” series.
