New Italian bistro to open at The River in near future
Michael’s Pizzeria recently closed at The River in Rancho Mirage, but management said owners signed over their lease to a new restaurant that will be opening in late summer or early fall.
Management at The River confirmed to News Channel 3 and CBS Local 2 that Michael’s Pizzeria closed ten days ago, and Gioia (pronounced joya) Italian Bistro will be taking its place.
Management said The River is also negotiating to bring in a large tenant to fill the space between Babe’s Bar-B-Que Brewhouse and b.b.’s at The River. They said an announcement is expected soon.
