Former Fresno State football player charged in campus threat

A former California State University, Fresno football player has been charged in connection to a social media threat that described a plan to shoot students on campus earlier this month.

The Fresno Bee reports that 18-year-old Christian Malik Pryor has been charged with felony making a criminal threat in connection to the Nov. 2 threat.

The threat was made anonymously Nov. 2 on the messaging app Yik Yak and included a photo of a library on campus. It detailed the gun that would be used and implied the attack would occur that day.

Pryor is free on $20,000 bail and will be arraigned Tuesday in Fresno County Superior Court.

University officials say Pryor was a walk-on wide receiver who had yet to play in a game.
