Southland police officer convicted for exposing himself to several people

A Los Angeles policeman charged with exposing himself to several people, including an 80-year-old woman and a 12-year-old girl, has been convicted.

The Orange County Register reports Ryan Galliher was found guilty Tuesday of charges including indecent exposure and lewd conduct.

Prosecutors say Galliher flashed the 12-year-old in February 2014 in the Bolsa Chica wetlands of Huntington Beach. He was also accused of exposing himself to other victims in the same area.

The 33-year-old Huntington Beach resident was arrested after police allegedly saw him exposing himself in October of last year. He was off duty at the time.

Galliher, a former Marine who served with the Los Angeles Police Department since 2011, faces up to eight years when he’s sentenced Dec. 16.
