California smoke shop sells $7 million lottery ticket
A California smoke shop that just started selling lottery tickets has already helped a customer win a $7 million jackpot.
M&V Smoke Shop in Lake Elsinore started selling the tickets about three weeks ago. Owner 57-year-old Emad Rezklla says he’s happy that the sale will change the life of one of his customers.
A news release from the California Lottery says the ticket matched all six numbers and the Mega number in the Saturday drawing.
Retailers earn 0.5 percent of winning tickets. Rezklla says he’s already making plans to help his kids in college.
A store employee says the winning customer came in Sunday to celebrate and ask for a free cigar, although the California Lottery says he hasn’t come forward yet.
