Minor injuries reported in Cathedral City house fire
Firefighters were called to a house fire on Earl Road in Cathedral City on Tuesday morning where one person in the home reportedly sustained minor burns.
The fire ignited at the single-family home on Earl Road at about 8 a.m.
Our crew on scene learned that people were inside the home at the time and a smoke detector alerted them to get outside.
Cal Fire and the Palm Springs Fire Department helped Cathedral City firefighters extinguish the flames but the home was damaged. The extent of damage is unknown at this time. Nobody else was injured.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
