ORIGINAL STORY:
Saturday was a perfect day on the links for the Warburton Celebrity Golf Tournament.
After an evening jamming with rock and roll hall-of-famers Friday, golfers hit the links for a good cause.
Some of this years celebrity guests included Jim McMahon, Kurt Fuller and Galen Fering.
Many celebrities said there’s no better cause than St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
“Every organization especially like St Jude needs as much exposure as they can get. That’s why we’re here to get the word out and to help raise funds. I think these people are semi excited to play with me today so that’s cool,” said Galen Gering.
As proud sponsors of the tournament, members of the News Channel 3 and CBS Local 2 family got to play along with Jim McMahon.
Many shared their secrets to golf success.
“Works good when you got all those fat guys stepping on your feet all those years in cleats feels good to be bare foot,” said McMahon.
The Warburton event has raised more than $3 million for St. Jude’s. This year they’re hoping to raise another million.
