UPDATE: Power restored after major outage in Indio and Coachella

UPDATE 1:27 a.m:All power has been restored in the city of Indio and Coachella, according to IID. You’re asked to call IID at 1-800-303-7756 if you are still without power.

UPDATE 1:11 a.m.: 5,073 customers have been restored, 247 remaining customers still without power in the Shadow Hills area, according to IID.

Imperial Irrigation District is reporting a power outage in the cities of Indio and Coachella with 5,347 customers without power.

According IID, restoration time is unknown at this time. A troubleshooter is is en route to assist with the outage.
