Rescue crews locate stranded man in Cathedral City
Rescue crews located a stranded homeless man in the mountains near the Cathedral City Cove on Wednesday afternoon.
Cathedral City police and fire crews arrived to the scene near H Street and Van Fleet Street at about 3:30 p.m. Authorities confirmed the man wasn’t a hiker and said he called them for help just after 3 p.m.
He told authorities he had walked up the hill and couldn’t get down. Emergency crews were in the process of walking the man back down the hill at about 4 p.m.
The stranded man wasn’t on any sort of trail at the time.
