Palm Desert 10 Cinemas celebrates opening with free movies

Palm Desert 10 Cinemas celebrated its opening at the Westfield Mall with free movies all day on Sunday.

This opening comes only two days after the closure of Cinemas Palme d’Or.

Tristone Cinemas to take over Cinemas Palme d’Or

Customers at today’s free event expressed concern with the new ownership, wondering if some of the movie theater’s traditions of featuring Art House movies and bringing in special guests would be continued.

Tristone Cinemas Vice President of Operations, Anthony Ramirez, says despite the change in ownership, they have plans to bring out directors, writers, producers, and talent of films and will continue showing Art House movies.

Ramirez says renovations, including a mall entrance and concession additions can be anticipated over the coming months.

He says tickets and concessions will be much less expensive than previously and cheaper than some of their competitors.
