House Fire in Desert Hot Springs

CAL Fire responded to a fire at a residence at the 9200 Block Vista Del Valle in Desert Hot Springs Tuesday afternoon.

It happened around 12:30 Wednesday afternoon. Firefighters first arriving on scene say heavy smoke was coming from the front of the single family home. Cal Fire says half of the house was involved in the fire.

Two adults and three children are out of place at this time. The American Red Cross was called out to help them find a place to stay.

The fire was contained at 2:50 p.m. No one was injured in the fire. One person was assessed by fire paramedics for heat-related symptoms, and declined further treatment.

The cause of the fire is unknown and is currently under investigation.
