Small earthquake shakes mountains south of Coachella Valley

A small earthquake was felt in the mountains just south of the Coachella Valley Thursday night.

According the U.S. Geological Survey, the 3.0 earthquake was centered one mile northwest of Anza and hit at 6:57 p.m.

There were reports of people experiencing the quake from Palm Desert, to Idyllwild and Temecula.

There are no reports of damage or injuries.
