Authorities identify Indio woman shot and killed Sunday night

The Riverside County Coroner’s Office identified an Indio woman who died following a Sunday night shooting in Indio.

Jamie Maher, 30, died at a home along the 82300 block of Santa Rosa Avenue at 9:28 p.m. Sunday night.

Officers arrived to find Maher, who had been shot multiple times.

Police officers performed CPR on Maher until paramedics arrived and continued administering aid.

Coroner’s Office did not release any other details on Maher’s cause of death, the location or time of her injuries.

A Facebook webpage that appears to have belonged to Maher was filled with comment from friends mourning her death.

She reportedly had moved to the Coachella Valley within the past year from Seattle, Washington.

All questions are being referred to the Indio Police Department now investigating the crime.

No suspects had been identified, and detectives from Indio Police Department’s Major Crimes Unit have been following up on several investigative leads.
