Palm Springs Country Club plan moves forward

The Palm Springs City Council will allow developers to revitalize the defunct Palm Springs Country Club as a residential development known as Serena Park.

The city council modified the land use designation of the closed golf course from open space to a very low density residential area.

The 126 acre project will have 386 residential units southwest of the Whitewater River wash.

Palm Springs County Club residents voiced concerns at Wednesday night’s meeting about adding new homes on the property and the potential disturbance from construction.

The project would not be a gated community.
