Fire fighters rescued three people from one of the vehicles, and put out a fire that started in the second vehicle, which was unoccupied.
Two of the three people rescued were taken to the hospital one with serious injuries and the other with minor injuries.
One lane of traffic was close for a little over an hour.
The cause of the crash is not known…
