Autopsy ordered for infant death investigation in Beaumont
The Beaumont Police Department is investigating an infant’s death that occurred Wednesday morning. The infant’s family transported the child to the San Gorgonio Medical Center at about 10 a.m., officers said in a news release.
The family lives in Beaumont.
Officers said the medical staff was unable to save the infant and the child died at the hospital. The circumstances behind the infant’s death are under investigation. Officials have ordered an autopsy by the Riverside County Coroner’s Office.
The child’s name isn’t being released at this time.
