One marine killed during training Friday in Twentynine Palms
One marine was killed, another injured while conducting training at the Marine base in Twentynine Palms Friday.
According to the MAGTF Training Command/Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center at 29 Palms’ Facebook page, the marines were conducting unit training in preparation for the start of Integrated Training Exercise 2-17.
No details have been released, the incident is currently under investigation. The identity of the deceased Marine is being withheld until 24 hours after next of kin have been notified.
