Jefferson Street Bridge reopened

Jefferson Street Bridge at Indio Boulevard reopened after more than a week-long construction project.

According to Dennis Green, subcontractor for the Riverside County Department of Transportation, the Jefferson Street Bridge at Indio Boulevard was opened at 6:55 p.m.

The opening of the new Jefferson Street Bridge has been delayed until Monday. Northbound Indio Boulevard at Jefferson Street will remain closed until that time.

The construction was initially expected to wrap up at 4 p.m. Friday following five days of work.
