Obama family plane diverted from Palm Springs due to weather

The Obama family has been diverted from Palm Springs International Airport due to inclement weather preventing their airplane from landing. The family departed Andrews Air Force Base at 10:45 a.m.

Their airplane appeared to circle Palm Springs International Airport at least a few times at about 4:15 p.m

We haven’t confirmed where the Obamas are being rerouted to at this time.

Officials with the Secret Service confirmed authorities delayed the landing due to poor weather.
