Locals celebrate Super Bowl
The biggest sporting event in America is officially over. Hundreds across the Valley enjoyed the big game at their favorite local restaurants and bars.
“It’s definitely they busiest day of the year, definitely,” said owner of The Block in Cathedral City, Saul Chavez.
Football fan, or not, hundreds celebrated their Sunday with good food, good beer, and great company.
Local sports bars stocked up for the big day.
“We double up on what we normally get,” Chavez said.
KESQ/CBS Local 2 got a behind the scenes look at what was cooking at The Block.
“We already took an order of 300 wings to go — not even eating them here,” Chavez said.
At Burgers and Beer many agreed the favorite was Nachos.
Crowds cheered their team on, and of course, got a kick out of commercials. The Bermuda Dunes local, Ryan Woolf, made her big Super Bowl debut, as she starred in a Pepsi commercial. Others watched the game for the Lady Gaga half time show.
