Three Palm Springs liquor stores cited for selling alcohol to minors

Three downtown Palm Springs liquor stores were cited for allegedly selling alcohol to underage customers during a minor decoy sting operation, Palm Springs police reported Wednesday.

North End Liquor and Market at 19345 N. Indian Canyon Drive, Club Liquor at 1109 S. Palm Canyon Drive and Las Palmas Liquor at 1595 N. Palm Canyon Drive were cited Monday during a Palm Springs police operation in which an undercover “minor decoy” attempted to buy alcohol at 14 city businesses that sell liquor.

Monday’s operation and others like it are funded by grants from the California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control, which has been conducting minor decoy operations since 2004.
