Two hospitalized after Indian Wells collision
A single-vehicle crash sent two people to a hospital Saturday night and closed the Washington Street at Miles Avenue just outside the Indian Wells Tennis Garden.
Police said a white vehicle ended up on is on its side just after 8 p.m.
One passenger suffered only minor injuries and was transported to a hospital by ambulance.
It took nearly an hour and a half for first responders to free the driver from the wreckage.
That person was said to be in serious condition. A helicopter ambulance was called to transport that second person.
The crash is under investigation. Deputies said their initial investigation suggests alcohol may have contributed to the cause of the crash.
