A local veteran’s organization held a clothing and toy drive Friday and Saturday to help the victims of Hurricane Harvey. Rebuilding America’s Warriors (RAW) held their drive at the Marshall’s parking lot in Palm Desert.

RAW accepted clothing, disposable diapers, baby formula, bedding, toilet articles, toys, and other items of need.

All of the items will be put on a truck and will be driven Sunday to Texas.

Volunteers are still needed, but the organization has already received support from the community.

The drive was held at the parking lot in front of Marshall’s in the Desert Crossing Shopping Center. That’s located on the corner of Fred Waring and Highway 111.

For more information on donating you can contact Maggie Lockridge RN regarding the drive at 760-568-4039.
