Two people stabbed near Cathedral City Taco Bell, police searching for suspect

Cathedral City Police are searching for a suspect, accused of stabbing two people during an altercation.

On Sunday at around 8:30 p.m., police received a call of an altercation between several subjects taking place at the Taco Bell on the 68500 Blk of East Palm Canyon Drive.

When officers arrived the subjects involved fled the scene and were later found on Dinah Shore Drive and Cathedral Canyon.

Those officers found two stab victims and they were then sent to Desert Regional Medical Center to treated for non-life threatening injuries.

The preliminary investigation determined an altercation took place between a group of males.

During the altercation, a suspect used a knife or a box cutter to stab the two victims, before fleeing the scene.

No word on what started the altercation.

The suspect is described as as a Hispanic male, 20-30 years of age, Shaved head, 5’5″ medium build, 150 lbs and was wearing a white shirt with blue jeans.
