South Dakota charges dropped against alleged killer
Tosten David Walsh-Lommen will be extradited to Riverside County after charges were dropped against him in South Dakota Wednesday.
Walsh-Lommen is accused of murdering his mother, Michelle Nanette Walsh, in Palm Springs, and driving her across state lines. Michelle’s body was found wrapped in a blanket in the back seat after Lommen led South Dakota Highway Patrol on a high-speed chase.
Lommen was facing charges for the police pursuit he caused not murder. He will be charged with the murder of his mom by the Riverside County District Attorney’s Office.

With the case dismissed in South Dakota, Lommen’s extradition process will now begin.
Court records show that Lommen admitted to choking his mother to death in Palm Springs then attempted to clean up the scene with bleach.
