Fire shuts down Vista Chino near Interstate 10
Vista Chino reopened to traffic Monday morning after a brush fire that closed the road in both directions.
The closure stretched from Avenida Maravilla, east to Date Palm Drive near Interstate 10.
The fire was first reported just before 7:00 a.m.
The fire was quickly extinguished, but fire hoses were blocking the road.
Firefighters at the scene said the fire broke out at a homeless encampment.
The road was expected to re-open around 8:10 a.m.
